Actor and Playwright Jerome Kilty Has Died

Actor and playwright Jerome Kilty died on Friday, September 7 at Norwalk Hospital of cardiac arrest, according to published reports.Kilty was one of two drivers injured in a two-car crash around 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 5.

Kilty’s stage credits include playing Phil Hogan in the 1984 revival of A Moon for the Misbegotten and his many other stage credits include Mastergate, Quadrille, Love’s Labor’s Lost, The Iceman Cometh, Misalliance, and Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf.

His plays include Dear Liar: A Comedy of Letters, adapted from the correspondence between George Bernard Shaw and Mrs. Patrick Campbell, Dear Love, based on the poems and letters of Robert and Elizabeth Barrett Browning, and The Ides of March.
