Theater for a New Audience and Fiasco Theater’s production of Shakespeare’s Cymbeline opened at the Barrow Street Theatre on Thursday, September 8.

Among the opening night guests were David Cromer, Cherry Jones, Michael Shannon, Sean Taylor, John Douglas Thompson, and Jacki Weaver.

Cymbeline, which incorporates plot elements of many of the Bard’s most popular works, centers on the adventures that a young princess embarks on after she disobeys her father and weds a commoner.

Noah Brody and Ben Steinfeld direct the show and are part of the cast of six actors to play 14 roles. The company also features Jessie Austrian, Paul L. Coffey, Andy Grotelueschen, and Emily Young.

The creative team includes Jean-Guy Lecat (scenic design), Whitney Locher (costume design), and Tim Cryan (lighting design).
