PHOTO FLASH: Cast of Transport Group’s Queen of the Mist Meets the Press

The cast and creators of Transport Group’s production of Michael John LaChiusa’s Queen of the Mist, met the press at an event held at New 42nd Street Studios on Tuesday, September 20. Jack Cummings III directs the production, which will run October 18 – November 20 at the Gym at Judson.

The musical revisits the life of Anna Edson Taylor, who, in 1901, set out to be the first woman to shoot Niagara Falls, in a barrel of her own design.

The production will star Mary Testa as Taylor, and also feature D.C. Anderson, Stanley Bahorek, Theresa McCarthy, Julia Murney, Andrew Samonsky, and Tally Sessions.

The production will feature choreography by Scott Rink, musical direction by Chris Fenwick, orchestrations by Michael Starobin, scenic design by Sandra Goldmark, costume design by Kathryn Rohe, lighting design by R. Lee Kennedy, and sound design by Walter Trarbach.
