Molly Shannon to Join CBS’ The Talk

Stage and screen star Molly Shannon will joining CBS’ daytime talk show The Talk as a guest host for the month of September, according to Deadline.com.
The CBS series will return with next season with hosts Sara Gilbert, Julie Chen, Sharon Osbourne, and Sheryl Underwood, although Osbourne is taking a leave of absence. First-season hosts Leah Remini and Holly Robinson Peete are not returning to the series.
Shannon made her Broadway debut last year as Marge MacDougall in Promises, Promises. Her many film and television credits include Saturday Night Live, Glee, Kath & Kim. Superstar, Bad Teacher, Sex and the City, and The Music Man.
She also recently authored a children’s book, Tilly the Trickster.
