Film and television star Jerry O’Connell and Hettiene Park will join previously announced stars Alan Rickman, Hamish Linklater and Lily Rabe in Teresa Rebeck’s Seminar. The production, directed by Sam Gold, will play Broadway’s John Golden Theatre, beginning performances on October 27 in anticipation of an official opening on November 20.

The comedy centers on four young writers who are participating in a private seminar taught by the brilliant but unpredictable Leonard (Rickman), an international literary legend. But as Leonard deems some students more promising than others, tensions arise, sex is used as a weapon, and alliances are made and broken.

The production will feature set and costume design by David Zinn, lighting design by Ben Stanton, and original music and sound design by. John Gromada.

O’Connell, who is making his Broadway debut, is best known for his work in film and television including Jerry Maguire, Stand By Me, The Defenders, and Crossing Jordan.

Park appeared Off-Broadway last season in Tony Kushner’s The Intelligent Homosexual’s Guide to Capitalism and Socialism with a Key to the Scriptures. Her film and television credits include Bride Wars, Mercy, The Good Wife, and Damages
