Janet Dacal, Aaron Lazar, Stephen Spinella, et al. Set for First Name Basis Benefit Concert

A preliminary lineup of performers has been announced for Living for Today’s First Name Basis, a benefit for The Gilana Shira Alpert Fund to be offered at Joe’s Pub on October 17. Chris Blisset will host the performance, which will be directed by David Alpert and have musical direction by Nate Patten.

The concert will feature show tunes that have a first name in the title. Among the artists scheduled to perform are Tituss Burgess, Celina Carvajal, Alison Case, Stephanie D’Abruzzo, Janet Dacal, Autumn Hurlbert, Morgan James, Aaron Lazar, Darren Ritchie, Steve Rosen, Jessica Rush, Jason Michael Snow, Stephen Spinella, Max Von Essen, Jim Walton, and Amos Wolff. In addition, the event will feature a world premiere video by Randy Rainbow.

The ensemble will be compromised of Jeffrey Paul Baker, Brynn Curry, Jana DeBusk, Justin Goodemoot, Killian Patton, and Cassandra Sandberg.

The Gilana Shira Alpert Fund was created in November 2007 as a memorial to Gilana Alpert and supports charities Alpert supported in life including Holocaust awareness, theater education and outreach, human equality advocacy, and sex education.
