Glee to Feature "Anything You Can Do," "Anything Goes," and "You Can’t Stop the Beat"

Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman’s “You Can’t Stop the Beat” from Hairspray, Cole Porter’s “Anything Goes,” and Irving Berlin’s “Anything You Can Do” from Annie Get Your Gun will be among the songs performed on the third season premiere on FOX’s hit series Glee, according to reports.


The episode, which airs on Tuesday, September 20, will also reportedly include
“Ding Dong, The Witch Is Dead” from The Wizard of Oz, and the pop tunes “It’s Not Unusual” and “We Got the Beat.”


Glee stars stage veterans Matthew Morrison, Lea Michele and Jane Lynch, along with Dianna Agron, Chris Colfer, Darren Criss, Cory Monteith, Amber Riley, Jayma Mays, Naya Rivera, Kevin McHale, Heather Morris, Jenna Ushkowitz, Harry Shum, Jr, Mike O’Malley, Dot-Marie Jones, and Mark Salling.


As also reported, Tony Award winner Idina Menzel will return to the series as Shelby Corcoran. The season will also feature appearances by the winners of The Glee Project, Samuel Larsen and Damian McGinty, and runners-up Alex Newell and Lindsay Pearce. Scheduled guest stars for the season will also include Valerie Mahaffey, Don Most, Tamlyn Tomita, and Ken Seong.
