The film will have a script by Tony Award winner Lee Hall, who wrote the book for Billy Elliot -- which features a score by John -- as well as The Pitmen Painters.

John has been one of the top-selling recording artists in the world for over four decades. He won a Tony for his score to Aida and has also composed the scores for the Broadway musicals The Lion King and Lestat.
