Alan Cumming, Barb Jungr, Amanda McBroom, et al. Set for NYC’s Metropolitan Room

The Metropolitan Room has announced revisions to its October lineup.

There will be two special editions of Jamie deRoy and Friends devoted to singer-songwriters on October 4 and 5, featuring Jeff Blumenkrantz, David Buskin, Marcy Heisler & Zina Goldrich, Jake Holmes, Lance Horne, Rick Jensen, Barry Kleinbort, Christine Lavin Shelly Markham, Amanda Yesnowitz, and Deborah Abramson. Guest performers will include Alan Cumming, Christiane Noll, Andrew Samonsky, Megan McGinnis, and Alysha Umpress.

Anastasia Barzee will perform a special CD release concert for her new recording The Dimming of the Day at 7pm on Sunday, October 16. The event will include numerous special guest appearances, including arranger and performer Gil Goldstein and bassist James Genus.

Other highlights of the month include Annie Ross (October 4, 11, 18, 25), Uptown Express (October 7), Marcus Simeone (October 9), Kelly Clinton (October 17), The Man In The Long Black Coat: Barb Jungr Sings Bob Dylan (October 18-29); Yvonne Constant in La Difference (October 20, October 29), Karen Oberlin (October 21), and Amanda McBroom (October 23, 24, 26, 27, 30).
