Twisted Sister’s Dee Snider to Join Broadway’s Rock of Ages; Foreigner’s Mick Jones Set for Q&A

Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider will join the Broadway company of Rock of Ages for a limited 11-week engagement, , October 11- December 24.

Snider will play the role of nightclub owner Dennis in the show, and will also host a weekly talkback series called “Rock Senate Hearings,” which will occur every Tuesday night and feature Q & A’s with special guests and Rock of Ages stars. Mick Jones, founder of the rock band Foreigner, will kick off the "Hearings" with Snider on October 19.

Rock of Ages focuses on a young rocker hungry for his big break and a small town girl who meet in 1987 at a legendary Hollywood club facing its imminent demise. The score includes the hit songs of iconic rockers like REO Speedwagon, as well as Journey, Styx, Foreigner, Pat Benatar, Whitesnake, and many more. The musical’s book is written by Chris D’Arenzio. Kristin Hanggi has directed the production, which features choreography by Kelly Devine.

The current Broadway cast also features stars Joey Taranto, Emily Padgett, Mitchell Jarvis, Jay Klaitz, Michele Mais, Josephine Rose Roberts, Paul Schoeffler, Derek St. Pierre, Jenifer Foote, Ericka Hunter, Michael Minarik, Julie Nelson, Justin Matthew Sargent, Matthew Stocke, Sarrah Strimel, Andre Ward, Katie Webber and Jeremy Woodard.
