The portrait was created by Dan May, and the unveiling was emceed by Valerie Smaldone. Bruce Dimpflmaier and Tony's di Napoli hosted the anniversary party.
Memphis, which is playing at the Shubert Theatre, is based on a concept by George W. George and features book and lyrics by Joe DiPietro, music and lyrics by David Bryan, direction by Christopher Ashley, and choreography by Sergio Trujillo. It won four 2010 Tony Awards, for Best Musical, Best Book of a Musical, Best Original Score, and Best Orchestrations.
