On Wednesday, September 22, members of the press got a sneak peak at some of the shows that will be part of the 2010
New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF), which will run September 27-October 17. The festival will feature 27 musical productions, a developmental reading series and special events.
Liz Larsen and Ann Harada joined their My Mother’s Lesbian Jewish Wiccan Wedding castmates for a song; Anthony Rapp sang a selection from his show Without You; Chip Zien and Max Von Essen joined the rest of the History of War cast; Andrea Frierson gave the crowd a taste of Above Hell’s Kitchen; and Kristin Maloney, Tom Hewitt, and Dan Amboyer sang a selection with their Great Unknown castmates.
Curtis Holbrook and Hanley Smith performed a song from Frog Kiss, which has Tamara Tunie as production advisor;
Kelly Karbacz sang a song from I Got Fired;
Justin Gregory Lopez gave a taste of The Tenth Floor; and Annie Pasqua and Jenna Pasqua performed a piece from Tess.
