Kenny Albert, Sean Landeta, David Maraniss, Bob Papa, et al. Set for Lombardi Talkbacks

An initial lineup of participants for Touchdown Tuesdays, a series of talkbacks following performances of Eric Simonson’s Lombardi, has been announced. The discussions will follow Tuesday performances of the play, which is being directed by Thomas Kail and will begin September 23 at Circle in the Square. The play stars Dan Lauria in the title role, along with Judith Light, Keith Nobbs, Bill Dawes, Robert Christopher Riley and Chris Sulliva

The series will begin on October 12 with a conversation with Pulitzer Prize-winning author David Maraniss, whose book When Pride Still Mattered: A Life of Vince Lombardi has inspired the play.

Other participants will be former New York Giants and Green Bay Packers player Sean Landeta and radio announcer Bob Papa (October 19); NFL Films’ president Steve Sabol and ESPN commentator Merril Hoge (October 26); New York Times sportswriter Richard Sandomir (November 2); Sport Illustrated‘s Tim Layden and FOX Sports’ Kenny Albert (November 16); Emmy Award-winning journalist and author Jeremy Schaap (November 23); author Phil Hanrahan (November 30); and Jimmy Pattaro, the president of Yahoo Sports and Entertainment (December 7).
