Eddie Fisher Dies at 82

Actor and singer Eddie Fisher has died from complication from hip surgery, according to a report in The Associated Press. He was 82.

Fisher made two Broadway appearances in special concert events: Eddie Fisher at the Winter Garden in 1962 and Eddie Fisher and Buddy Hacket at the Palace in 1967.

He was seen in such movies as Bundle of Joy, and Butterfield 8, and appeared frequently on television, earning two Emmy Award nominations and a Golden Globe Award.

He also penned two autobiographies Eddie: My Life, My Loves and Been There, Done That.

Fisher had five wives, including actresses Connie Stevens, Debbie Reynolds and Elizabeth Taylor. His children include actress and writer Carrie Fisher, producer Todd Fisher, and actresses Joely Fisher and Tricia Leigh Fisher.
