Tony Award winner Barbara Cook will receive the Yip Harburg Award for Brains, Heart and Courage during Harlem Repertory Theatre’s Yip Harburg Festival, presented October 1-4 at Aaron Davies Hall.

The festival, which celebrates Harburg’s accomplishments as an artist and person, will include Stephen Bogardus and Sherry Boone in Yip and Gersh, a theatrical concert celebrating the music of Yip Harburg and Ira Gershwin.

The festival will also feature Harlem Repertory Theatre’s production of Flahooley, starring John Wiethorn, Natalia Peguero, Primy Rivera, Alexandra Bernard, Yaritza Pizarro, and Eric Myles; and a new one-hour version of The Wizard of Oz, adapted by Deena R. Harburg. Flahooley will also be performed at the Theatre for the New City, December 18-January 3.
