Reba McEntire Receives Two CMA Nominations

Former Broadway star Reba McEntire has received two nominations for The 43rd Annual CMA Awards, which will be held at 8pm on Wednesday, November 11 at the Sommet Center in Nashville, and broadcast live by ABC Television. Country music stars Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood, both of whom are also multiple nominees, will host the event.

McEntire, who starred in the revival of Annie Get Your Gun as well as the Carnegie Hall concert of South Pacific, is nominated as Female Vocalist of the Year as well as Musical Event of the Year for “Cowgirls Don’t Cry” with Brooks & Dunn.

Among the many other nominees this year are Kenny Chesney, The Eagles, Darius Rucker, George Strait, Sugarland, Taylor Swift, Randy Travis, and Keith Urban.
