People’s Voice Café to Host Augusto Boal Tribute October 24

The People’s Voice Café will host a performance tribute to the late Theatre of the Oppressed founder Augusto Boal, on October 24 at 8pm.

Boal, who died earlier this year of leukemia, was a well known artist/activist who conducted workshops throughout the world, and his techniques have been widely inspirational and influential. He also authored several books, including Theatre of the Oppressed, Games for Actors and Non-Actors, The Rainbow of Desire, and Legislative Theatre.
