Morgan Freeman to Be Honored at Zurich Film Festival

The Zurich Film Festival will honor Broadway star and Oscar winner Morgan Freeman this year with its Golden Icon Award on October 3, according to Variety.
Freeman received a Tony Award nomination in 1978 for The Mighty Gents; his other Broadway credits include The Country Girl, Purlie and The Gospel at Colonus.
He won the Academy Award for his work in Million Dollar Baby and his many other films include The Dark Knight, The Bucket List, The Shawshank Redemption, and Street Smart. He will next be seen as Nelson Mandela in the film Invictus.
