Michael Lang, one of the producers of the 1969 Woodstock Music and Art Fair, said that he plans to bring a new show about the famed festival to Broadway during the 2010-2011 season.

The show will use elements from his recent memoir, The Road to Woodstock, written with Holly George-Warren. However, Lang announced no other specific details about cast or creative team, and said he was talking to some of the musicians who played at the festival. The show will use both classic music and new songs.

In Ang Lee’s current movie, Taking Woodstock, based on the book by Elliot Tiber, Lang is played by Tony Award nominee Jonathan Groff.
