Clayton Apgar, Pepper Binkley, Sue Cremin, and Kevin Hogan will appear in the Keen Company’s Such Things Only Happen in Books, an evening of short plays by Thornton Wilder, to run October 6-November 14 at the Clurman Theatre. Carl Forsman and Jonathan Silverstein will direct the production. Two additional cast members will be announced at a later date.

The evening will include Cement Hands, about an uncle who attempts to explain to his niece the precariousness of marrying a tight-fisted young man; The Angel That Troubled the Waters, which shows how a healer’s suffering makes him human; In Shakespeare and the Bible; and Now the Servant’s Name was Malchus.

The creative team includes Sandra Goldmark (scenic design), Theresa Squire (costume design), and Josh Bradford (lighting design). Live music will be under the direction of Brian Cimmet.
