David Brian Colbert to Star in Hedwig BC/EFA Benefit at New World Stages

David Brian Colbert will star in the title role of John Cameron Mitchell’s and Stephen Trask’s Hedwig and the Angry Inch, at New World Stages on October 28, 2009 at 8:00 pm. The event will benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
The show tells the story of an ‘internationally ignored’ rock singer, Hedwig, and her search for stardom and love. Colbert is a veteran of ten different productions of the musical across the country. The staging will also feature Petra DeLuca as Yitzhak. This award winning production, directed by Michael Gray, will be re-staged for New World Stages by Aaron Mark and music directed by Daniel Lincoln.
