Bill Irwin, John Kelly, et. al. Set for Celebrating Ellen Fundraiser

Tony Award winner Bill Irwin, Meredith Monk, John Kelly, and Peggy Shaw will be among the performers at Celebrating Ellen, a fundraising event for La MaMa E.T.C. to be held on November 1 in the company’s Annex Theatre.

The benefit, which will begin with a cocktail reception, will honor the theater’s founder Ellen Stewart and will feature the rededication of the group’s Annex Theater as the Ellen Stewart Theatre. Among other notables scheduled to appear are H.T. Chen, Potri Ranka Manis, Muna Tseng, Lois Weaver, The Great Jones Repertory, and others will be announced at a later date.

Tickets for Celebrating Ellen are $100 – $1,000. Additionally, individuals may place ads in a commemorative program.
