Barbra Streisand will be one of 18 individuals honored by the American Museum of Jewish History in Philadelphia as members of its "Only in America" Hall of Fame, according to The Philadelphia Inquirer. The museum is scheduled to open next year.

Each of the honorees, who also include director Steven Spielberg and the late Irving Berlin and Leonard Bernstein, will be the subject of an exhibit and a short video. The public was invited to vote on which of over 200 luminaries should be honored, but the vote did not constitute the final decision.

Streisand's newest CD, Love Is the Answer, will be released on September 29. She appeared on Broadway in I Can Get It For You Wholesale and Funny Girl, and won the Oscar for the film version of the latter. She has also won the Grammy and Emmy Awards, a special Tony Award, and is a recipient of the Kennedy Center Honor.
