NBC’s Mister Roberts to Get DVD Release on October 7

Acorn Media will release a DVD of NBC-TV’s live production of Joshua Logan’s classic play Mister Roberts on Tuesday, October 7.

The show, which was filmed live before a studio audience and aired in 1984, was directed by Melvin Bernhardt. The cast was led by Robert Hays at Lt. Doug Roberts, Charles During as Capt. Morton, Kevin Bacon as Ensign Pulver, Howard Hesseman as Doc, and Marilu Henner as Nurse Girard. It received two Emmy Award nominations.
