Lin-Manuel Miranda, Jerry Mitchell, Anthony Rapp, Adam Shankman, and Duncan Sheik, will participate in a panel discussion entitled REVIVAL: Broadway’s Next Act, to be held at Carnegie Hall’s Zankel Hall, October 6 at 8 p.m. Ana Gasteyer will moderate the event, and Miranda, Rapp, and Sheik are all scheduled to perform.

The panel will focus on the fresh approach that composers have recently introduced to Broadway, attracting audiences through a new range of media, from YouTube to MTV. Immediately following the panel discussion, guests are invited to attend an exclusive afterparty at The Russian Team Room at 9:30 p.m. The event is specifically created by The Notables, Carnegie Hall’s membership program for music enthusiasts in their 20s and 30s.

Scheduled celebrity guests at the event include Broadway stars Annaleigh Ashfiord, Mara Davi, Bailey Hanks, Autumn Hurlbert, Marissa Perry, Josh Strickland, Phoebe Strole, Jason Tam, and Tamara Tunie.

Miranda is the star, composer, and lyricist of the Tony-winning musical In The Heights. Mitchell is currently represented on Broadway with his direction and choreography of Legally Blonde and his choreography for Hairspray. Rapp is best known for originating the role of Mark Cohen in Rent, and will be reprising that role in the show’s new national tour. Shankman directed the film adaptation of the Broadway musical Hairspray. Sheik is the Tony Award-winning composer of Spring Awakening.
