Full Casting Announced for Musicals Tonight’s Irma La Douce

Full casting has been announced Musicals Tonight’ s production of the 1960 musical Irma La Douce, to run at the McGinn/Cazale Theatre, October 14-26. The production will be directed by Thomas Sabella-Mills with musical direction by Rick Hip-Flores.

The show concerns Irma, a Paris “poule” who works to support her lover, an impoverished law student, against his wishes. He then poses as a rich elderly roué and becomes her exclusive client, but when his double life becomes too demanding, he decides to “kill off” his alter ego.

Vanessa Lemonides will play the title role, and the cast will include Selby Brown, Damian Buzzerio, John Coghlan, James Donegan, Eric Imhoff, Wade McCollum, Justin Sayre, Kevin Sims, Kit Treece, and Christian Zaremba.

The season continues with the 1963 tuner Tovarich October 28-November 9; the Jerome Kern-PG Wodehouse 1922 hit Cabaret Girl (March 3-15); Fats Waller’s 1943 musical Early to Bed (March 17-29); and Cole Porter’s 1928 Paris-set farce You Never Know (April 14-26).
