Cheyenne Jackson will star in the title role of Project Shaw‘s staged reading of George Bernard Shaw’s one-act comic melodrama The Shewing Up of Blanco Posnet to run at 7pm on Monday, October 20 at the Player’s Club. The reading will be produced and directed by David Staller.

The cast will feature Hannah Cabell, Mary Carver, Nora Chester, Teddy Eck, Stephen Mo Hanan, Lianne Kressin, John Martello, Charlotte Moore, Liz Morton, Nathaniel Shaw, Ronny Venable, and Emily Young. TheaterMania editor-in-chief Brian Scott Lipton will be the evening’s narrator.

Written in 1909, the rarely seen play concerns a man famed throughout the American West as a roguish lad who has been sentenced to death for horse thievery.

Jackson just completed his run as Sonny Malone in the Broadway production of Xanadu. He starred this past summer in Damn Yankees and previously appeared on Broadway in All Shook Up.

Tickets go on sale on October 1. For more information, visit www.projectshaw.com.
