Chapman, Dohrn, Grody, Gummer, Healy, et al. Set for Electric Pear Season

Electric Pear productions has announced the selections for its 2008-2009 season.

The season will kick off with The Parent Teacher Conference Plays, three short works by Clay McLeod Chapman, Zayd Dorn, and Ann Marie Healy set in actual classrooms at the Village Community School (272 West 10th Street), to run September 24-27. Participating actors include Christian Conn, Erin Felgar, Gabriel Field, Kathryn Grody, Rebecca Lingafelter, and Nairoby Otero.

The remainder of the season, to be presented at the Wild Project, includes Lukas Barfuss’ The Sexual Neurosis of Our Parents (November 6-22), starring Grace Gummer — daughter of Meryl Streep — as a young woman experiencing her sexual awakening; the performance piece Synesthia (February 25-28), and the world premiere of Ashlin Hafnight’s Artifacts of Consequence (April 16-May 2).
