Casting and creative team information has been announced for the world premiere of Daniel W. Owens’ new play, Bobbie and Jerome, October 7-26, set to open at the Langston Hughes Performing Arts Center. Jacqueline Moscou will direct.

Set in the stone yard of a gothic Harlem cathedral in 1998, Owens’ story follows two cousins fighting their addictions, their joined past, and each other. Cast members worked with local stone carver Sabah Al-dhaher to explore the complex art of stone carving for this production. The public is invited to get a taste of “Stonecarving Boot Camp” and chat with the actors, director, playwright, and Al-dhaher at his open studio tour, October 13.

The cast will feature Marcel Davis as Jerome, Ron Davids as Errol, and G. To’mas Jones as Bobbie. The creative team will include Doris Black (costume design), Stephen Deibert (lighting design), Tommer Peterson (set design), and Herbert Thompson (sound design).
