Metropolitan Opera to Offer Free Tickets to Lucia Dress Rehearsal

The Metropolitan Opera House will offer free tickets to the final dress rehearsal of its new production of Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor, directed by Tony Award winner Mary Zimmerman, at 11am on Thursday, September 20. The production, which will star Natalie Dessay and Marcello Giordani, will open officially on September 24.

Tickets, which are limited to two per person, can be reserved beginning at 10am on Monday, September 17 either by calling 212-362-6000 or by visiting www.metopera.org. Tickets must be picked up by 8pm on Tuesday, September 18. On the day of the event, the doors will open at 10am, so visitors can enjoy special exhibits and demonstrations.

The Met will also offer free dress rehearsals to Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel on Friday, December 21 and Donizetti’s La Fille du Regiment on Friday, April 18.
