Jim Caruso’s Here! On Broadway Wins Summit Creative Award

Jim Caruso, who hosts the theater-based podcast Here! On Broadway is a bronze winner in the 2007 Summit Creative Awards competition.

The Summit Creative Awards recognizes and celebrates the creative accomplishments of small and medium sized creative groups. Winners in this international competition were selected in categories that include print, broadcast, emerging media, online advertising, marketing materials, direct mail, political, corporate video, public service, best idea never produced, industry self-promotion and student competition.

The podcast consisted of a 21-episode series of shows that celebrated the showbiz scene. Guests included Broadway talents such as Stephanie J. Block, Laura Bell Bundy, David Burnham, Charles Busch, Stephanie D’Abruzzo, Amanda Green, Adam Guettel, Julie Halston, Linda Lavin, Howard McGillin, Jerry Mitchell, Julia Murney, John Tartaglia, Max von Essen, and Karen Ziemba.

Caruso is also the host of the popular “Broadway at Birdland” series, co-sponsored by TheaterMania. He will be hosting the stage show on the TheaterMania-sponsored “theater block” at the Third Avenue Street Fair on September 9.
