Ebersole, Harden, Rashad, Wright, et al. Set for Barack on Broadway

Christine Ebersole, Marcia Gay Harden, Kristen Johnson, Phylicia Rashad, Ruben Santiago-Hudson, Jeffrey Wright, and the Broadway Inspirational Voices will appear at Barack on Broadway, a benefit for Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama at 8pm on Monday, September 24 at the New Amsterdam Theatre. Obama will also speak at the event.

The benefit will be directed by Tony Award winner George C. Wolfe. It will feature readings from the works of some of America’s greatest playwrights, including Eugene O’Neill, Arthur Miller, Tony Kushner, and August Wilson, as compiled by John Lahr, Marsha Norman, and Jack Viertel.

Tickets range in price from $250 to $2,300, with the top price entitling ticket buyers to meet the candidate at a private reception before the show. For further information, call 212-763-4853.
