Easton, Roberts, Sternhagen, et al. Set for Food for Thought Readings

Initial casting has been announced for the Food for Thought series of lunchtime readings at the Players Club (16 Gramercy South).

The Fall 2007 season will begin on September 24 with Frances Sternhagen, Kevin Stapleton, and Jeremy Hollingworth in A Pretty Trap, Tennessee Williams’ one-act comedy which led to the creation of The Glass Menagerie.

The season will continue with Tony Roberts in O’Henry’s A Municipal Report (September 27), Betsy Palmer and Karl Kenzer in Jerome Coopersmith’s Eleanor (October 1), Richard Easton in Harold Pinter’s One for the Road, Bob Dishy and Judy Graubart in Mel Brooks’ Of Fathers and Sons and Eugene Ionesco’s The Bald Soprano (October 11 and November 14), and Joan Copeland in a tribute to her late brother, Arthur Miller (October 17).

In addition, Food for Thought will host a gala tribute to the late Peter Stone on Monday evening, October 29, with special guests including Phyllis Newman, Marian Seldes, Tommy Tune, Maury Yeston, and Karen Ziemba.
