Dianne Wiest will join fellow stage and screen stars Parker Posey and Lauren Ambrose in FOX-TV’s upcoming series The Return of Jezebel James, according to TVGuide.com.

The show, which is written and directed by Gilmore Girls creator Amy Sherman-Palladino, stars Posey as Sarah Thomkins, a woman who can’t get pregnant and asks her estranged younger sister, Coco (played by Ambrose), to carry her baby. Wiest will play the women’s mother, Talia. The series also stars Michael Arden, Scott Cohen, and Ron McLarty.

Wiest’s many stage credits include Salome, In the Summer House, Othello, and Third; in 2008, she will play Arkadina in Classic Stage Company’s production of The Seagull. She is a two-time Oscar winner for Woody Allen’s Hannah and Her Sisters and Bullets Over Broadway. Wiest previously co-starred on the NBC-TV series Law & Order.
