Crudup, Hargitay, Stiles, Thomas, et al. Set for 24 Hour Plays

Billy Crudup, Mariska Hargitay, Julia Stiles, and Marlo Thomas will be among the stars taking part in this year’s edition of The 24 Hour Plays on Broadway, to take place at 8pm on Monday, October 22 at the American Airlines Theater. Proceeds from the event will benefit Working Playground, an organization that brings arts education into New York City classrooms.

This year’s participants also include actors Elizabeth Berkley, David Cross, Rachel Dratch, Michael Ealy, Mamie Gummer, Peter Hermann, Matthew Lillard, Anthony Mackie, Janel Moloney, Rosie Perez, Fisher Stevens, Lili Taylor, and Kerry Washington; playwrights David Lindsay-Abaire, Julia Jordan, Warren Leight, and Theresa Rebeck; directors Christian Parker and Ari Edelson; and singer Nellie McKay, who will be this year’s musical guest.

Six new 10-minute plays will be written beginning in the late evening of October 21, with rehearsals to begin at 8:30am on October 22. McKay will perform musical numbers in between each play.
