Caron, Goodman, Stritch, Tucci, et al. Win Emmy Awards

The 60th Annual Tony Awards broadcast was named Outstanding Special Class Program at the 59th Annual Creative Arts Emmy Awards, which were handed out tonight at Los Angeles’ Shrine Auditorium.

At the event, the four Emmy Awards for Outstanding Guest Actor and Actress in both Comedy and Drama Series were also handed out. Tony Award winner Elaine Stritch won for her role on the comedy 30 Rock, while former MGM musical star Leslie Caron won for her role on the drama Law & Order: SVU. On the male side, John Goodman won for his spot on Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip and Stanley Tucci won for his role on Monk.

Spike Lee, who is scheduled to direct Stalag 17 on Broadway in the spring, was named Outstanding Director of Nonfiction Programming for HBO’s When the Levees Broke.
