Broadway and London Les Miz Productions to Swap Valjeans

John Owen-Jones, who is currently playing the role of Jean Valjean in the London production of Les Miserables, will make his Broadway debut in that same role beginning October 23, while Drew Sarich, the current Valjean in the Broadway production, will make his West End debut in the part beginning October 22.

Owen-Jones’ other stage credits include a four-year stint in the title role of The Phantom of the Opera in London. Sarich performed the role of Grantaire in the original cast of the current production, before assuming the role of Valjean this July. His other stage credits include Lestat, Jacques Brel…, and Jekyll & Hyde .

The current Broadway production also features Robert Hunt as Javert, Lea Salonga as Fantine, Gary Beach as Thenardier, Ann Harada as Madame Thenardier, Megan McGinnis as Eponine, Adam Jacobs as Marius, Ali Ewoldt as Cosette, and Max von Essen as Enjolras.
