Brian Kerwin Joins Cast of Broadway’s August: Osage County

Brian Kerwin will co-star in The Steppenwolf Theatre Company’s acclaimed production of Tracy Letts’ August: Osage County, which will begin previews at the Imperial Theatre on October 30, opening on November 20 for a 16-week limited engagement.

The show, which concerns a missing patriarch and the reunion of the Weston clan to their three-story home in rural Oklahoma, will be directed by Anna D. Shapiro. It will feature Steppenwolf ensemble members Ian Barford, Francis Guinan, Mariann Mayberry, Amy Morton, Sally Murphy, Jeff Perry, and Rondi Reed, as well as Deanna Dunagan, Kimberly Guerrero, Fawn Johnstin, Dennis Letts, and Troy West.

The creative team includes Todd Rosenthal (sets), Ann Wrightson (lights), Ana Kuzmanic (costumes), Richard Woodbury (sound), and David Singer (original music). Shapiro’s directing credits include The Unmentionables and The Pain and the Itch.


Kerwin’s stage credits include After the Night and Music, The Little Foxes, The Goat or Who Is Sylvia, The Autumn Garden, and Letts’ The Man from Nebraska. His film and television credits include Torch Song Trilogy, Desperate Housewives, and Big Love.
