Ron Bohmer and Davis Gaines to Star in Frankenstein Musical at NJPAC

Ron Bohmer and Davis Gaines will star in a staged concert performance of the new musical Frankenstein, September 29-October 1 at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center. The show will be directed by Bill Fennelly.

Based on Mary Shelley’s classic 19th-century novel about a doctor who creates a human monster, Frankenstein features music by Mark Barron, book and lyrics by Gary P. Cohen and Jeffrey Jackson. The cast of the NJPAC concert also includes Christeena Riggs, Blake Whyte, Richard White, Struan Erlenborn, Becky Gulsvig, Aaron Serosky, Sara Glendening, Becky Barta, Robert Anthony Jones, Gary Harger, Patrick Mellen, and Tobi Foster.

Bohmer has starred on Broadway in The Woman in White, The Scarlet Pimpernel, and Fiddler on the Roof; his Off-Broadway credits include I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change, Forbidden Broadway: SVU, and The Thing About Men. Gaines, who will play Dr. Victor Frankenstein, is best known for playing the title role in The Phantom of the Opera. He was featured in the 1980 Broadway revival of Camelot and has worked extensively in regional theater and cabaret.
