Huey Lewis, who played the role of Billy Flynn in the long-running Broadway revival of Chicago last season, will return to the show at the Ambassador Theatre in November after a stint in the touring production of the musical.

According to his official website, Lewis will appear in the Broadway Chicago from November 20 through January 15, following his scheduled October 24-November 5 stint in the tour during its San Francisco engagement at the Orpheum Theatre. (He will not perform on Saturday, October 28.)

His pop/rock group, Huey Lewis and the News, has sold more than 20 million albums. Their hit singles include “The Heart of Rock and Roll,” “Stuck With You,” “I Want a New Drug,” and “If This Is It”; their song “The Power of Love,” from the film Back to the Future, was nominated for an Academy Award. Lewis’ acting credits include roles in the films Short Cuts, Sphere, Shadow of a Doubt, and Duets, as well as the TV series Just Shoot Me and One Tree Hill.

The role of Billy in the Broadway Chicago is currently being played by Usher; the cast also includes Bianca Marroquin as Roxie, Brenda Braxton as Velma, Roz Ryan as Mama Morton, Rob Bartlett as Amos, and R. Lowe as Mary Sunshine.
