The play, which is set in the not-too-distant future, concerns Alice, a drama lecturer at a faith-based state university in the Midwest, and one of her students, Dexter, who become embroiled in the discovery of a play by A.R. Gurney. When the authorities destroy the script, these two must piece together the play. Gurney's other work at the Flea -- all directed by Simpson -- includes O Jerusalem, Mrs. Farnsworth, and Screen Play. The show's creative team includes Mimi Lien (sets), Claudia Brown (costumes), and Brian Aldous (lighting).
Benko's Off-Broadway credits include Dark Yellow, Wintertime, and The False Servant. Burkett's New York stage credits include Dead City, The Ride Down Mt. Morgan, and Stupid Kids. Kromer has hosted the WNBC series Cool in Your Code.
