Theatre stars Keith Byron-Kirk, Harriett D. Foy, Zoe Lister-Jones, Michael Mastro, Keith Nobbs, Daniel Reichard, and Frank Wood, along with All My Children star Alicia Minshew, will be featured in a benefit reading of Love’s Fire at 8pm on Monday, September 25 at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street). The reading will be directed by Andrew McCarthy.

All proceeds from the event wil benefit Opening Act, which currently runs after-school theater programs at five public high schools in New York City. The group’s mission is to see that all NYC public school students have access to an artistic space where they can develop commitment, community, and leadership through artistic achievement.

Love’s Fire is a program of short plays by Eric Bogosian, William Finn, Marsha Norman, and Ntozake Shange, all inspired by Shakespearean sonnets. It was first performed by the Acting Company.

Tickets range in price from $15 to $100 and can be purchased at www.openingactnewyork.org.
