Callaway, Coulter, Gravitte Set for Defying Gravity: The Music of Stephen Schwartz in New Jersey

Liz Callaway, Scott Coulter, and Debbie Gravitte will star in Defying Gravity: The Music of Stephen Schwartz, at 8pm on Saturday, October 7 at Drew University in Madison, New Jersey.

Schwartz is the famed composer-lyricist of such shows as Wicked, The Magic Show, and Children of Eden. His earliest hit, Godspell, is being revived this month at the Paper Mill Playhouse, and his smash musical Pippin is on stage at Connecticut’s Goodspeed Opera House prior to a national tour. He is also the winner of three Academy Awards for his work on the films Pocahontas and The Prince of Egypt.

Callaway is a Tony Award nominee for Baby and has starred on Broadway in Miss Saigon, Cats, and The Look of Love. Coulter is a popular cabaret performer and the winner of the coveted MAC Award. Gravitte won the Tony for Jerome Robbins’ Broadway and most recently starred on Broadway in Chicago.
