Ann Crumb, Chevi Colton, Liz Larsen, Heather MacRae, Beth Malone, Janet Metz, and Patrick Ryan Sullivan will star in the new Off-Broadway musical Bingo by Michael Heitzman, Ilene Reid, and David Holchenberg. The production, to be directed by Thomas Caruso, will begin performances at St. Luke’s Theatre on October 21 in an advance of the official opening on November 7.

An environmental musical comedy, the show allows the audience to join in on a church Bingo game where they will meet, among others, three women who have driven through a terrible thunderstorm in order to indulge their weekly obsession. The creative team of Bingo includes Lisa Stevens (choreography), Eric Renschler (sets), Carol Brys (costumes), John Viesta (lighting), Lewis Mead (sound), and Steve Bishop (musical direction and orchestrations).

Crumb received a Tony Award nomination for Anna Karenina. Colton was most recently seen on Broadway in The Tale of the Allergist’s Wife. Larsen earned a Tony nomination for The Most Happy Fella. MacRae and Metz previously appeared together in the Off-Broadway production of Falsettoland. Malone starred in the Reprise! production of Babes in Arms. Sullivan was last seen on Broadway as Julian Marsh in 42nd Street.

Heitzman and Reid collaborated on the musical Vices, which received eight Joseph Jefferson Award nomninations, and wrote the song Throw That Girl Around, which was featured in Swing! Holcenberg is currently the musical director and conductor of the Broadway production of Mamma Mia!
