The 2005 Innovative Theatre (IT) Awards were presented last night in a ceremony at the Lucille Lortel Theatre, hosted by Charles Busch. The awards were founded to recognize the contributions and achievement of individuals and organizations in the Off-Off-Broadway arena. Here is a complete list of the winners:

In addition, three honorary awards were presented to individuals or organizations who have made significant artistic contributions to the Off-Off-Broadway community. The recipients are La MaMa founder Ellen Stewart (the Stewardship Award), puppeteer Basil Twist (the Artistic Achievement Award), and the Inverse Theater Company (the Caffe Cino Fellowship Award).
