Tony Randall Memorial to be Held at Majestic Theatre

A memorial for Tony Randall, the acclaimed actor and producer, will be held at Broadway’s Majestic Theatre (247 West 44th Street) on Tuesday October 5 at 1pm. Randall died on May 18 of this year at NYU Medical Center due to complications from a prolonged illness. He was 84.


James Naughton will host the memorial, which will feature appearances and performances by Harry Belafonte, Jacques d’Amboise, David Dinkins, Charles Durning, Julie Harris, Marylyn Horne, Marthe Keller, Jack Klugman, Garry Marshall, Ethan McSweeny, Ben Vereen, and Eli Wallach. John Tillinger will direct the proceedings.


Said Gary Springer, a theater publicist and longtime friend of Randall, “Tony’s life was centered around the arts. The National Actors Theatre was his dream and his legacy. This memorial will celebrate his life, his passion and the future of the National Actors Theatre.” The memorial is open to the public.
