It has just been announced that two preview performances of the new Broadway musical Amour at the Music Box Theatre have been canceled due to problems with the show’s scenery. The show will not be performed on Tuesday evening, September 24 or on Wednesday afternoon, September 25, but will resume its regular schedule beginning on Wednesday evening, September 25 at 8 pm.

According to a production spokesman, some of the show’s set pieces need to be returned to scene shop for modifications. The performance on Saturday evening, September 21, was interrupted when a large piece of scenery fell to the stage floor. There were no injuries.

Amour marks the Broadway debut of the popular French composer Michel Legrand. Directed by James Lapine, and starring Malcolm Gets and Melissa Errico, the show
tells the Parisian love story of a man whose life is transformed by his magical ability to walk through walls.

Ticket holders for the cancelled performances may exchange or refund tickets at the box office of the Music Box Theatre or by phoning customer TeleCharge customer service at 212-239-6210.
