Celia Keenan-Bolger will star in Sarah Ruhl's new play, The Oldest Boy, Lincoln Center Theater has announced. The production, to be directed by Rebecca Taichman, will begin performances October 9 at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater, with opening night set for November 10.

Keenan-Bolger, a 2014 Drama Desk Award winner for her performance as Laura in The Glass Menagerie, will star alongside Joel de la Fuente as the parents of a toddler who learn that their son is recognized as the reincarnation of a high Buddhist teacher. When two monks seek permission to take him to a monastery in India, they must decide whether to send their young son away or keep him home.

The full cast is made up of Ernest Abuba, Tsering Dorjee, Takemi Kitamura, James Saito, Jon Norman Schneider, and Nami Yamamoto. Taichman's production will feature scenic design by Mimi Lien, costumes by Anita Yavich, lighting by Japhy Weideman, and sound by Darron L. West.
