Acclaimed puppetteer and director Basil Twist will bring his version of Igor Stravinsky's The Rite of Spring to Lincoln Center's White Light Festival October 15-18 at the Rose Theater in Frederick Rose Hall.

Twist's Rite of Spring had its world premiere last year the Carolina Peforming Arts at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Performed live by a 73-piece orchestra, the stage is populated by living fabric sculptures guided by 12 puppeteers. The program also includes Twist's versions of Stravinsky's Pulcinella Suite and Fireworks, Op. 4.

Twist's many Broadway credits include The Addams Family and The Pee-Wee Herman Show, along with off-Broadway productions of Paula Vogel's The Long Christmas Ride Home and Joey Arias' Arias With a Twist. His list of stage works is also comprised of Symphonie Fantastique, Petrushka, and Dogugaeshi.
