Richard Chamberlain to Return to the New York Stage in David Rabe's Sticks and Bones

Richard Chamberlain, a star of stage and screen known for his role on the television series Dr. Kildare, will return to the New York stage for the first time in 16 years to star alongside Holly Hunter and Bill Pullman in The New Group's upcoming revival of David Rabe's Sticks and Bones. Scott Elliott directs the production, which will play The Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center beginning in October. The off-Broadway engagement, for which official start and opening dates
are still to be announced, will run through December 14.

Stick and Bones, which won the 1972 Tony Award for Best Play, is a portrayal of an American family pulled apart when their son returns from the Vietnam War. Chamberlain will take on the role of Father Donald, with Hunter as Harriet and Pullman as Ozzie. The full company also includes Nadia Gan as Zung, Morocco Omari as Sergeant Major, Ben Schnetzer as David, and Raviv Ullman as Rick.

The production features set design by Derek McLane, costume design by Susan Hilferty, lighting design by Peter Kaczorowski, sound design and original music by Rob Milburn and Michael Bodeen, and projection and video design by Olivia Sebesky.
